Detailed Planning Permission Granted for 101 New Homes at Killams Park

Summerfield Homes have successfully been granted detailed planning permission for all remaining 101 homes at Killams Park.

The project was delayed in in planning due to the ongoing phosphate loading problem across Somerset however the Housebuilder can now deliver a nutrient neutral scheme through an offsite mitigation project.

To achieve this Summerfield Homes have come to an agreement with a third-party landowner to plant trees across a 22-acre holding within the same river catchment area as Killams Park. This means that the 101 homes to be built will contribute no additional phosphate loading to the Somerset Levels.

Killams Park will have a collection of 2, 3, 4 & 5-bedroom homes available which will include both open market and affordable properties.

Ed Khodabandehloo, Managing Director at Summerfield Homes commented – “We have been working hard with our consultants and mitigation partner to get Killams phase 3 completely nutrient neutral and I’m delighted our scheme has been signed off by Natural England and the local planning authority. Killams Park has become a very popular place to live, and we look forward to now delivering the remaining houses on this phase over the next few years.”
